COBUS ("we", "us", "our") operates the COBUS SmartRace application ("the App") for Garmin wearable devices, available on the Garmin Connect IQ Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data in connection with the App.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data Accessed

The App accesses the following data directly from your Garmin device sensors during an activity session:

• Heart rate — current beats per minute (bpm)
• Maximum heart rate — read from your Garmin user profile
• Distance traveled — in kilometers or miles
• Current speed and pace
• Activity elapsed time

This data is read in real time from your device sensors and Garmin user profile. It is never transmitted to any external server or third party.

3. How Data Is Used

All data accessed by the App is used exclusively to calculate and display the RedLine projection on your Garmin device screen in real time. The RedLine field shows the projected distance at which you will reach your maximum heart rate based on your current heart rate trend.

No data is used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose other than the core functionality of the App.

4. Data Storage and Retention

The App does not permanently store any personal data. All sensor data is processed in memory during the active session only. No data is retained after you close or stop the activity.

The App may store minimal configuration preferences (such as your custom maximum heart rate setting) in your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit any user data to third parties under any circumstances. All processing occurs locally on your Garmin device.

6. Garmin Disclaimer

Any data processed by COBUS SmartRace is processed by COBUS exclusively. Garmin International, Inc. has no responsibility or liability for any data processed by this App. COBUS SmartRace is an independent application developed by COBUS and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Garmin.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using this App, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Since COBUS SmartRace does not collect or store personal data on external servers, there is no personal data held by COBUS that you would need to request access to, correction of, or deletion of.
